BeHold Life Packs is more than a basket.

It is a remembering.

Rooted in ancestral Adirondack pack basket traditions and guided by a reverence for The Living Thread, this work is an invitation to return to skill, story, and sovereignty. Each basket is hand-woven with intention — built to carry what matters, and to remind us that we, too, are carriers of lineage.

The Craft: Purposeful, Durable, Alive

Every BeHold Life Pack is woven using traditional methods that have endured for generations.  Each curve is shaped by hand.

These baskets are not decorative objects.

They are working companions.

They carry herbs from the field, apples from the orchard, books from the classroom, tools for the land, and provisions for the journey. Over time, they soften and deepen with use — becoming part of your rhythm.

The Teaching: Weaving as Initiation

In workshops, weaving becomes something more than technique.

Participants learn:

• Foundations of Adirondack pack basket construction
• Tool handling and traditional shaping methods
• Lashing, rims, and structural finishing
• Strap fitting and functional design

But alongside skill, something quieter happens.

Weaving becomes a bridge — between ancestors and present-day makers, between utility and beauty, between independence and belonging. Many leave not only with a basket, but with a renewed sense of capacity and continuity.

My lineage carries Celtic roots — Northern Wales, Ireland, Scotland — lands where craft was not hobby but survival. BeHold Life Packs honors that thread. The work carries forward the purposeful traditions of all our ancestors: to make what we need, to carry our tools on our backs, to move through land with dignity.

The basket becomes symbol and structure:
